While the gators fight, there are calculated efforts to "chum the waters" and provoke the battle. The rhetoric is downright slimy, and the gators are so frenzied that they revert to moral typecasting rather that any effort to consider nuances or the fact they are reacting like beasts. It is propaganda at its worst.
