Man Fakes LinkedIn Profile, Harms Someone, Goes to Prison
Sometimes the worst people do get identified, caught and punished
Wild story time: Christopher Kevin Morris, 45, earned a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for "creating a fake LinkedIn profile describing (his targeted person of abuse) as a child molester and rapist, sending emails to co-workers pretending to be a respected colleague alleging that the (targeted person) was a convicted child molester, and sending emails to co-workers pretending to be the victim, that used racist language," says the Department of Justice.
This type of corrupted and dark behavior could have reasonably led to the targeted person's reputation ruin, emotional and psychological overwhelm and suicide. It's beyond egregious and sick. It evil.
This example shows how nefarious individuals or organizations can simply access communication channels to conduct themselves in a war-like manner on people.
"Morris was also accused of sending harassing emails to the New Bern (North Carolina) victim and two others, saying he was 'watching them or their family' and using racist and offensive language. According to officials, Morris wrote to one victim he was a 'dead man walking,' reported WRAL News.
I wonder if Mr. Morris had the intelligence and foresight to consider that he might not get away with his covert assault on another human being and that an extended stay prison vacation from free society -- and a quarter of a million dollar punishment -- would be his new reality?
In a way, five years in prison could be judged as insufficient yet that handful of years will act as a hard, onerous tax on Morris' mental state and make life an uphill battle for him upon him being released.
Remember: Be aware this type of attack can happen, that it's not some movie or book script. Use this article if necessary to share with authorities when you bring forth your story to them.
People who wish to inflict pain have the power of technology to carry out their schemes and plans of attack. As this story shows however, they don't always get away with it. They can be identified, caught and severely punished.
Let me also encourage you as well that if ever such ugliness happens to you or someone you care about, you or they can overcome it during and after the crime.
I can show you specifically how that can be accomplished.
